Miriam sowes in her farm with the help of her friend Naipandi in Amboseli, Kenya. Miriam and her husband own a few acres of land. Although their land is still quite dry, Miriam has decided to sow seeds after seeing a few signs of rain. Many in the area would rather plant and earn poor yields, rather than fail to sow at all. Located at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro, Amboseli National Park has faced extreme weather pattenrs induced by climate change in recent years – including severe episodes of drought, and heavy rain, which have had a profound impact on residents’ ability to earn an income and sustain themselves through farming.
