Ma woman Sitei Lemomo picks up sand called Magadi in Amboseli, Kenya. This is a paid job, during which she gathers and moves bags of sand to Tanzania on her two donkeys. Sitei has found in sand harvesting a way of earning extra income and providing for her family, amidst challenging times brought about by drought. Sitei’s journey is hard and takes several days. Sometimes, she has to return home halfway to deliver food to her family before finishing her task.
